Accreditations
Children's Hospital-San Diego is an accredited sponsor of
continuing education activities. Each attendee may claim a minimum of 30 credit
hours actually spent in an education activity. by attending a Preconference
Institute, one may earn 6 additional CEUs. The conference is certified by these
agencies:
- American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP)
- American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP): This continuing
medical education activity has been reviewed by the American Academy of
Pediatrics and is acceptable for up to 39 AAP credits. These credits can be
applied toward the AAP CME/CPD Award available to Fellows and Candidate
Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
- Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS): LCSWs and MFTS
- Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
- California Assocation of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CAADAC)
- Continuing Medical Education (CME): Children's Hospital
and Health Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing
Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.
Children's Hospital and Health Center designates this educational activity as
Category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician
should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the
educatonal activity.
- Law Enforcement Credits: South Bay Regional Public
Safety Training grants 1/2 unit of college credit to California residents who
complete their application
- Mandatory continuing Education for Psychologists (MCEP)
- Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE)
