HEALTH CONSEQUENCES FROM ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES - Emalee Flaherty, Des Runyan 

After 19 years, the Consortium of Longitudinal Studies in Child Abuse and Neglect (LONGSCAN) has followed a cohort of abused and neglected or at-risk children from early childhood into adulthood. We will examine the health consequences and health behaviors of the participants in late adolescence and explore the ties to abuse, neglect, and other adverse childhood experiences.
